I am going to Peru with a friend in September since I found airfare for $245 roundtrip through a special deal on Travelzoo and we are super excited! Of course we are going to Machu Picchu and we are thinking we are going to Arequipa as well. I plan on traveling to Peru again in 2014 so I am just going with the flow of what my friend wants to do. 

Needless to say, in all our planning we are looking at two overnight bus rides (10 and 12 hours) but only paying about $50 instead of the $175 plane rides. All of this planning is making me very excited for my world tour but let me just say, I really need to make friends in far off places to help me travel through over 60 countries without all this planning.
