After two years of thinking about actually leaving and 18 months of pseudo saving, I am finally leaving on my world tour. My goal is to be gone for a year, but we will see where life takes me and what I end up doing. Needless to say, my home is now on my back like a little snail.
I procrastinated packing until yesterday and finished packing around 8:30am this morning for my 12:50pm flight. My goal was to keep my backpack under 50 pounds to avoid luggage fees and killing myself while walking! The backpack is 47 pounds and the one for me to carry in the front is about 17 pounds. My snail trail has not started yet and I am sure there are things I forgot to pack. Stay tuned for my adventures from around the world.
