Today started out like any other day that starts at 2:00pm! Perhaps the jetlag actually hit me even though I was insisting I was fine. Nothing says adventure like taking the train to the bus to a taxi to get somewhere and then the tube to the train to get back! But it was worth it to not pay the £50 taxi each way.
We ventured in from Hampton Court to take a stroll past the House of Parliament on our way to the Westminster Abbey. It is lovely to have such a beautiful building as “capitol hill.”
No pictures are allowed in Westminster Abbey, but the outside was stunning!
You can’t really walk through this part of London without a quick snapshot of Big Ben!
We had some time to kill before dinner and The Book of Mormon, so we stopped at the W Hotel for a bit of afternoon tea. I am really starting to like this tradition.
The concierge suggested Busaba thai food just down the street as the perfect dinner before the show. The food was absolutely delicious and some of the best Pad Thai I have ever had! We had the privilege of seeing The Book of Mormon at the Prince of Whales theater with fantastic seats! I thought the show was absolutely hilarious and a must see for anyone with a sense of humor!
London is so awesome especially when you have great weather. We recently saw The Book of Mormon in NY and it was fantastic. Looks like you guys are having a “brilliant” time.
Enjoy!
Thank you Howard. I think we have been very lucky with our weather and we will probably have a skewed idea of the weather in London.
